On reserving with VQ Travel Services you agree to the following terms and conditions:
Protection of personal data
The Company undertakes to treat Customer data in accordance with the 2003 Law 196 (Data Protection Act), The data will be used exclusively for communications concerning the services provided by VQ Travel Services and any of their suppliers in relation only to your travel arrangements that we have made for you. Your information will not be passed on to any third parties.
Payment is made directly to the banking organisations and we do not see your credit card details. The purchase of services are made directly online. The payment process is through the Nexi banking system connected with the BPM Bank of Italy it is secure via protected by a secure line (SSL).
Complaints / Juristiction
VQ Travel services and their products are governed by Italian law. Italian law has exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes arising from the services provided and any eventual dispute.
If you have any complaint with any service please advise us when in resort so we can takes steps to remedy. It is important that you register your dissatisfaction preferably in resort so we can take steps to improve.
VQ uses fully insured and licenced third parties to operate transport services such as land and water . Every effort is made to ensure a high level of service . Sometimes delays and errors can occur.
VQ Travel declines any responsibility for situations beyond their control such as force majeure not just limited to weather , terrorism , riot, fire, war, etc.
In the case of bad weather and the original transport cannot transit an alternative will be provided to ensure safe transportation to the destination. If due to bad weather t/ force majeure your transport or tour cannot be provided VQ Travel services are not liable for any extra accommodation or costs caused by Force Majeure.
Pricing and Payment
Unless stated on the website all quotes will be provided via email. The prices are per booking unless stated and will include the items as listed on the email.
Payment in full is to be made before the services commence and full confirmation will be provided detailing all services and what is included. Tipping is never included unless requested and it is not obligatory.
Generally on transfers 1 large case will be considered per person and one cabin bag. A cabin bags is intended as a soft small bag that fits under the seat on a standard airline. Any cabin cases on wheels are deemed as cases . Any extra bags will be charged in loco if needed.
Cancellations, Complaints and Refunds
All requests for cancellations and refunds will be assessed individually.
There will be no refund if you fail to present yourself at a tour or meeting point for an excursion.
There will be NO refund or adjustment to tickets for museums/ events or transport passes purchased on behalf of the customer, this is in accordance with the regulations of the providers of such services.
Where purchases of tickets are made directly from VQ Travel website you are purchasing in accordance with the main supplier and VQ cannot be liable for any refund or change of date or time.VQ Travel will make every effort to assist you with any changes but they cannot be guaranteed.
Our cancellation policy for Transfers private tours is as follows – however where we do not incur costs we will refund accordingly.
Up to 10 days before the service is due to take place – a full refund will be given . ( less €5 bank charge) This will be directly to the card that payment was made.
From 10-7 days A full refund will be made less bank charges and any administration expenses.
From 7-3 days Refund of 50%
From 3-0- Any recoupable expenses will be refunded. * If we can re book the transport or assistant / guide then a refund will be made. ** In the case of custom made tours , packages and all non transfer services cancellation charges are based on each individual service and we will advise you on request when booking.
VQ Travel operates where stated on a request basis , once all of the team are allocated then no further reservations are made.
Transfers
At the time of booking it will be stated if the transfer is to go to the hotel dock or a walk is involved. Not all canals in Venice can be reached by water taxis . They, like cars have restrictions and regulations which VQ Travel has to respect. When a walk is involved it could be over bridges and down narrow streets. Our team are not porters but they will help. Please bear this in mind when packing.
Weather / high and low tides do influence where we can dock and unload and load. We are not liable if an alternative has to be used do to these circumstances. Any canal supplements that have been charged will be refunded either locally or via credit card.
All water taxi services unless stated will be via standard water taxi , this could be one of 70 different ages and styles. Luxury wooden craft can be booked at a supplement and depending on availability.
The direct route is always taken and this may not be via the Grand Canal. It is not permitted to transit under the Rialto before a certain time.
Experiences is a subsidiary company of VQ Travel Services , It operates independently and certain terms and some conditions are different to the mother company. MARILENA
Number requirements / cut offs / refunds/
Musuems and Transport Tickets.
On booking transport and museum tickets , you will be booking with a third party VQ have included this as a convenience for our guests. A small booking fee is applied . You will be making payment directly with our supplier and you will be sent direct confirmation of your booking. You must adhere strictly to the information on your voucher or booking confirmation. Where a meeting point or time is given it is your responsibility to be at the correct place and time . If you are unsure of this please advise VQ well in advance and we can help you. There is no refund for unused or partially unused tickets and no refund on public transport tickets due to strike , industrial action or force majeure. If you purchase ACTV transport tickets you MUST validate them the first time you use them at the machines located at every vaporetto stop. This is part of the conditions of usage.
